Data Deletion

This page explains how to disconnect your Facebook and Instagram accounts from Postuu and how to request deletion of the data we hold about you.

What we store

When you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram account, Postuu stores an encrypted access token for that connection, the account or Page id, its display name and avatar, and records of the posts you scheduled or published through Postuu. We never store your Facebook or Instagram password.

Option 1 — Disconnect inside Postuu

The fastest way to remove a connection and its stored credentials:

Sign in to Postuu and go to Accounts.
Find the Facebook Page or Instagram account you want to remove.
Click Disconnect and confirm. Facebook and Instagram are independent — disconnecting one never affects the other, or any other connected service.

On disconnect we immediately delete the stored access token for that connection, mark it revoked so nothing can be published through it, and cancel any of its pending scheduled posts. Your already-published posts are not affected.

Option 2 — Remove Postuu from Facebook or Instagram

You can also revoke Postuu's access directly from Meta:

Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations → select Postuu → Remove.
Instagram: Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites → remove Postuu.

When you remove Postuu this way, Meta notifies us automatically. We then delete the stored credentials for that connection, revoke it, and cancel its pending scheduled posts.

Option 3 — Request deletion of your data

To request deletion of the data Postuu holds about you, email [email protected] from the email address on your Postuu account, or request deletion through Facebook/Instagram as described above.

We will remove your connected Facebook/Instagram credentials and identifiers. If you want your entire Postuu account removed, say so in your email and we will delete the account and its associated data.

What is removed and kept

Removed: encrypted access/refresh tokens for the connection, and any pending scheduled posts that would have published through it.
Revoked: the connection is marked revoked so it can no longer be used to publish. You can reconnect at any time.
Kept (unless you ask us to delete your account): records of posts you already published, so your own history and any other connected services (for example YouTube) keep working.

Timeframe

Disconnecting inside Postuu and removals triggered from Facebook or Instagram take effect immediately. Email requests are actioned promptly, typically within a few business days.
